When you enter your credit card number on the order form, it's sent across the Internet in a scrambled (encrypted) form readable only by our server which decodes the order form so we may read it. 

Our website takes every precaution to protect our customers' information. When you submit sensitive information via our website, your information is protected both online and off-line. When entering sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL, which is handled for us by Americart™. Americart's security certification is handled by Verisign, the trusted name in internet security.

You can tell if the page is secure by looking at the lock icon at the bottom of the page in what's called the task bar. If you're using a web browser such as Internet Explorer (by Microsoft) or Netscape Navigator, the lock icon is locked (secure), as opposed to unlocked (open), which is the usual position when you're just surfing the web.
